Most of these requirements are what i recommend to try, not the minimum.

X86 Architecture
CPU Pentium 200MHz or higher recommended
64MB RAM
VGA Display
800MB Free HDD Space
CD or DVD drive
3.5" inch floppy drive
Microsoft Mouse or compatible pointing device

Users can bypass processor requirement checks with the undocumented /NM setup switch. This allows installation on computers with processors as old as the Intel 80386 REF.

PS:
In 1998 i used Windows 98 SE with an AMD K6-2 CPU.
